Summary: Ellie has never been popular. She's never had a boyfriend. She just tags along with her popular "friends," and tries not to be noticed too much. Then, when she gets home, she delves into her writing, and becomes a fearless, intelligent young lady from medieval Italy. But soon, Ellie's life changes when the new boy shows interest her, and her book wins a prize.
Sexual content: There's two boys who end up liking Ellie- bad boy, Chase, and new hot boy, Palmer. She ends up in a relationship with both of them, and there are some kisses in it. Also, Ellie's so-called friends, invites Ellie to a "boy-girl" weekend. She doesn't go, but it's pretty clear at what happens there.
Drunk party: In one of the scenes, Chase calls Ellie to ask if she can pick him up, because he's at a party, and drunk.
Morals: This is a story about coming out of your shell, and doing what you're afraid to do
